Regional Notes
Colchagua Valley, located in the heart of Chile, offers exceptional soils and a Mediterranean climate that allows grapes to ripen slowly, leading to complex flavors and aromas. Wine Spots worked with winemaker Alejandro Jofre to craft a "Super Chilean" blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

Vintage Notes
The 2007 vintage began with a slightly colder winter than average and normal rainfall. Budding began in spring with mild temperatures. Spring was dry and cold, as was early summer that gave way to a cool and cloudy March. The lack of sun delayed fruit maturation, which helped develop good levels of acidity and varietal characteristics. Harvest began in April for some varietals and ended in May.

Winemaking Notes
The grapes for this red wine blend were hand-selected and cold soaked. Pump overs during the fermentation process were kept short to encourage soft extraction. The wine was aged in French oak barrels for 8 months to develop elegant tannins and structure.
