Regional Notes
Harvest occurred at the beginning of September through mid-October, allowing the grapes to develop deep fruit intensity. The grapes were stainless steel fermented and received extended skin contact before being transferred to barrels. The wine was aged in small French oak barrels and underwent malolactic fermentation and then racked prior to bottling.

Vintage Notes
In Napa Valley, 2005 was an excellent vintage, which combined both high quality and quantity. The long, cool growing season was complemented by steady sunshine and heat in the early fall. The extended hang time allowed for increased maturity, intense flavor and lower sugar levels. Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were noticeably darker than previous years. Even though harvest came very late, harvest was bountiful with yields that offered a wonderful concentration of fruit flavors and fine-grained tannins.
